Description |
Eastman
DE (Diethylene Glycol Monoethyl Ether) solvent is
a very polar, slow evaporating, water-miscible
solvent with a mild odor. It is an active solvent
for cellulose acetate butyrate, nitrocellulose,
epoxy resins, and other coating materials.
Eastman DE solvent is used as a coalescing
aid in latex paints and floor polishes, and as a
penetrating solvent in wood stains. Eastman
DE solvent is often used in cosmetic formulations
as a coupling agent to solubilize or compatibilize
ingredients which are difficult to incorporate
into typical oil-in-water emulsions. Because of
its excellent solubilizing effect, DE solvent can
enhance skin absorption of active ingredients. The
INCI (cosmetic ingredient) name of Eastman
DE solvent is Ethoxydiglycol.
Eastman
DE Solvent (Diethylene Glycol Monoethyl
Ether) is an Eastman
Performance Solvent. |
